2003 Eilandbrug in Kampen opened The new Eilandbrug in Kampen is opened on Tuesday 21 January with a spectacular light show. The official opening was done by Minister Roelf de Boer together with commissioner of the Queen of Overijssel Jansen and the Mayer of Kampen, Mister Oosterhof. The bridge forms an important closing part in the new route N50 between Kampen and Ramspol. The traffic pressure within the hart of Kampen will hereby be diminished. As design advisor for the Public Works Department Hans van Heeswijk
is together with Building Services responsible for the design of the
bridge. In the design is searched for an open and slender construction
that forms a minimal barrier in the landscape. The total planning
and engineering took nine years. . |
