2008 Stair of the Years At the Architecten Vakdagen '08 in the Van Nellefabriek in Rotterdam, the award the Stair of the Year was presented to architect Hans van Heeswijk for his central spiral staircase in the Graphic Design Museum Breda. The winner this year is the majestic, central spiral staircase in the Graphic Design Museum Breda, designed by Hans van Heeswijk Architects. This spiral staircase is one large, light and airy interior element. Thanks to the light construction and the glass steps the spatial quality of the museum and the basement is retained. EeStairs awards the title of Stair of the Year every year to the most exceptional staircase produced by this specialist company.
