2012 Rieteiland House nominated for Amsterdam Architecture Prize 2012 Architecture Centre Amsterdam (ARCAM) announced the Rieteiland House by Hans van Heeswijk as one of 27 projects that are nominated for the Amsterdam Architecture Prize 2012 (the 'Golden A.A.P.'). The ceremony of this years fifth edition of the prize will take place end of April. The prize will go to the best architectural project in the previous year that was completed in the city of Amsterdam and is for both the architect and the client. The jury, consisting of architecture critic Indira van 't Klooster, architectural historian Fredie Floré and architect Laurens Jan ten Kate, will select one project that merits to be rewarded, either because it is the most beautiful or for instance the most exemplary for the actual situation in Amsterdam. The nominated projects will be published in an Arcam Pocket 'Amsterdam Architecture 2011-2012' and will be on show in May in an exhibition at Arcam Gallery (Prins Hendrikkade 600).
