Hans van Heeswijk architecten is selected as one of the three finalists
for the competition "uitbreiding van de Hollandse Brug" at the A6
over the Gooimeer between Naarden en Almere. The design is made possible
through a collaboration between Hans van Heeswijk architecten and
ABT and Oranjewoud.
The brief was to double the capacity of the existing bridge by creating
a additional bridge as a special landmark. The design is based on
a biplane principle. The new bridge is being placed over the existing
bridge. For Holland this is a new and unique structure.
