Renovation begins with a good tool kit. Waterlandplein, a housing complex and shopping center in the northern part of Amsterdam derives its name as a plaza or plein from the surrounding flat landscape, full of water. In the Sixties, when this estate was built, quantity was more important than quality. Now that it's time for a thorough overhaul, that smart tool kit comes in handy.

Out comes equipment to liven up end façades, protect entrance galleries against wind, and provide uniform sun screens. Coming home starts at the entrance hall.
