Staatliche Kunsthalle Karlsruhe
This project is the entry to a invited competition for the renovation and extension of the Staatliche Kunsthalle in Karlsruhe. The old building that was finished in 1846 could not properly exhibit it's collection of beautiful paintings anymore. To compensate for this the adjacent court building will be replaced by a new extension wing. Both museum buildings will be connected by a underground passage way.
