Opening Museum EICAS
Museum EICAS, or the European Institute for Contemporary Art and Science as it is called was opened on 19 March 2023. The Museum is established in the building of the former Hegius College in the city of Deventer.
Museum EICAS shows non-figurative contemporary art from the Nul- and ZERO-movement and temporary exhibitions from 1960.
On the roof an artwork of the Chinese artist Lu Xinjian was installed called City-DNA - Deventer. It represents an abstracted plan of the city of Deventer.
