Kapels Bridge
The extension of the Kapels bridge in Delft consists of a new design for a bridge with a pedestrian tunnel, a square with a terrace and the preservation of the existing bridge.
The Kapelsbrug, or Kapels bridge, is situated on the south side of the old town, between the Oude Delft and De Kolk. In the sixties of the 20th century, the quay along the Kolk was provided with a double arch bridge.
The new bridge has its own detailing with an unobtrusive appearance. The space between the new and the old bridge is used for a stairway terrace with a view over the water.
